Barbecue Menu Idea #1: Grilled Salmon, Grilled Hearts of Romaine & Whole Wheat Couscous
Okay so a lot of people think of barbecue as time consuming to create a whole meal on the BBQ–it isn’t. It is actually amazing because you have fewer pots and pans to wash by just throwing it all on the grill!
One of our favorite Go-To easy midweek meals involves grilled salmon, hearts of romaine and grilled asparagus. If we feel like adding some carbs, making whole wheat couscous on the side pairs amazingly with this dish.
Click the links below for these amazing simple recipes and enjoy a nice & healthy BBQ menu for an easy midweek meal or Sunday afternoon early dinner. One of our favorite staple menus!
Grilled Hearts of Romaine with Orange Cucumber dressing
Grilled Asparagus (Plain or Wrapped in Prosciutto)
Whole Wheat Couscous: It is a great compliment to the Salmon & Hearts of Romaine–and VERY easy to make and only takes a couple minutes to cook. Buy Whole Wheat Couscous from grocery store and follow instructions on the box. If you have a Trader Joe’s in your area we find that to be the cheapest option for us. Whole Wheat couscous is of course much better for you than standard couscous but if you can’t find it you can always substitute normal couscous as well.
